Hurricane Arthur (damn you) spoiled the festivities in Salem for July 4 (America's real birthday). Moved to Sunday, there wasn't as much frolicking or merriment but the fireworks were still amazing. The day was lovely and many said the presentation was more beautiful than last year.
In my little six unit condo hood, we had a lovely picnic type barb-e-cue courtesy of Adam and his husband Curtis, plus Harry & Melissa and some friends. Not as many people showed up, Harry and Melissa showed up late due to other engagements on Sunday. The fireworks were amazing though.
As usual, my little Canon "push here dummy" camera doesn't do the light show justice. Here is my sampling...
