Love a 10 minute commute...my first week in Salem

Well, I'm moved in surrounded by amazing hard wood floors and not much else. My first piece of furniture, my bed of course, arrived last Saturday.  That is about all I had in my place until this past Friday when a co-worker, Tiffany, graciously came by for a three-hour marathon. Not the running kind, the "I need someone to help me put my dresser together" type of marathon. Without her I never would have been able to put the 25 page step-by-step piece in place.  Thanks Tiff!

Thanks to Tiffany, I now have a dresser

Yesterday was a gorgeous 70 degrees so I had to stop by Rockafellas for a glass of wine outside and people watch. I picked up a couple of baskets and pitcher at Jerry's Department Store (one person's junk is another persons find).

Today's showers are now gone and I took a walk to The Willows. It's a beautiful little island paradise on the bay. One the way there is a wharf area with a terrific view. The photo is a little rough and really doesn't do it justice. Probably doesn't help that it is low tide.

Now I'm back home sitting on the floor in my living room. But, I am sitting on real hardwood floors. Couch will be here on Wednesday!  Now, I'll just need to entice Tiffany to come by and help me put together the couch, desk and night stand...I think Loto tickets my be in order. And, by the way, did I say how much I love the 10 minute commute!
