Salem Jazz and Soul Festival Rocks Willow Park

Every weekend is a new adventure in Salem. Summer diversions abound and this weekend was no exception. Most weekends there is some sort of free music. Yesterday, Salem hosted the Jazz and Soul Music Festival to promote and raise funds for North Shore music education and scholarships.

The weather was perfect. A mild 75 degrees (24 Celsius for my European friends) and no wind. The Willows Park is right on the water and is an ideal setting for a concert. 

There was a beer garden, kiosks full of jewelry, good and clothes.

Families celebrating on the grass with picnics and singles like me just sitting and listening to the music.

The evening was topped off with fireworks. I wonder what next weekend will bring?
