I’ll have to put financial planning for the trip back to your "roots" into the eBook I’m writing about living abroad and making it work. I really miss my Slovak family and will go back to live in Europe again at some point. But right now I’m enjoying my life in Salem and especially having a glass of wine on my new porch!

Outside Space Changes Your Life...And Other Revelations
I’ll have to put financial planning for the trip back to your "roots" into the eBook I’m writing about living abroad and making it work. Expat Interview on Blog Expats

| The Lovers (sculpture near Spa Island, Piestany) |
One of the great things about living abroad is not only the ability to learn about a new culture and people in a different country than your birth country, but to also meet people from other countries living abroad.
I joined several organizations when I moved abroad and BlogExpat.com is one of these organizations. They offer several articles on how to adjust to living abroad, where to go and what to do in various locations.
I have posted several articles on their website and just recently they posted an interview with me where I talk about living in Slovakia. Here is the link or you can click on the badge to the right in the nav bar. http://interviews.blogexpat.com/blog/2013/11/11/from-the-usa-to-slovakia-robin-s-great-adventure.
I hope you will read it and let me know what you think. Please subscribe to my blog to get the latest Great Adventure!
I'll be off on a wine tour in Modra this weekend, so look for my new post next week.

Expats - What's In Your Fridge
BlogExpat just posted three expats "What's in your fridge" quotes at EasyExpat. Click on the link then scroll down and you'll see my excerpt. BlogExpat interviewed me about living in Slovakia and it will be posted in November.

Here's what I have in my fridge...fresh veggies and fruit that in the States would cost me quite a lot. Slovakia does have GMO's but not to the extent the US does. My students bring me fresh tomatoes, peppers and fruit from their gardens. It is wonderful!
I am a fish eater so I do miss fresh fish I would buy in Boston at the docks. I crave fish tacos and sushi. These are not food items that are prevalent in Slovakia.
Here is a picture of me drinking champagne at Kastiel Pecky near Levoca, Slovakia.
